Two Month Reboot
For leaders impacted by layoffs.
Getting laid off can feel lonely.
But it doesn’t have to be.
I am here to help you strengthen your confidence, reclaim your narrative,
and powerfully author your next professional chapter.
This LinkedIn Post from November, 2022 started it all.
I spoke to dozens of leaders affected by layoffs, seeking help clarifying their vision, enhancing their confidence, improving their networking and more.
For some, one session was enough. For others, we only scratched the surface. That’s why I created this reboot.

My Layoff Story
In early 2020, I was laid off. I felt like my world came crashing down. In that moment, I realized how much of my identity was tied up in my professional identity:
If I wasn’t a high rising corporate superstar…who was I? I was quietly grateful for the burgeoning pandemic because it meant I could stay home, avoiding the inevitable “So, what do you do?” question. I felt ashamed. My confidence was shattered. I lost sight of everything that got me to where I was, and lost sleep thinking to myself: what could I have done? What should I have done? How am I so easily expendable?
Then, I turned to support. Which wasn’t easy for a go-getter like me; I’m used to giving, not receiving help. But I was desperate to get out of this low point. I confided in a group of “friendtors” in my networking group. I read books that powerfully shifted my thinking and direction. I hired a coach.
With that support, I was able to rewrite my narrative. I connected with my greatest strengths and accomplishments, which restored my confidence. I authored a powerful vision for my life, which came from my heart and gut, not what I thought I “should” do. I defined success on my own terms. And I started believing in my ability to be courageous and reach for extraordinary.
My layoff set the stage what is now the most professionally fulfilled I’ve ever been. I found a career where I get to live in my zone of genius, deeply impact my clients, and have a work-life balance I didn’t dream was possible. Your layoff may usher in a similar chapter of unparalleled fulfillment. I’d love to help you make that a reality.
Testimonial
“I came to coaching lost in terms of career, unsure of where to go next. Marissa helped me figure that out, but in a totally unexpected way that was so much more emotional and core to who I am as a person and professional. It impacted how I approach work and how I view myself and to a degree how I approach life. Super powerful stuff.
As a result of working with Marissa, I'm much more confident. I realize the value I bring and own it, less afraid of being wrong or perfect. I accept my missteps and move on. I realize that there's so much power in bringing your authentic self not just in the personal space but professionally.
It's hard to put into words but the impact she has is so much more than what you expect or hope for going in. It's more than just helping you achieve your goals. She helps you unlock the power of yourself and how much more impact you can have. She helps you get out of your own way to achieve your full potential.” - Global Marketing Leader at LinkedIn
